In 15 years alone it is highly possible that we will live in a world without gorillas, orangutans, chimpanzees and bonobos. Escalating demands on the critical habitats of great apes from humans has placed tremendous pressure on these delicate forest ecosystems, resulting in not only a severe decline of great ape populations, but also a negative impact on the livelihoods of the millions of people who depend on these forests.

There has never been a greater urgency to address this current crisis.
